Founding Partner

David is a founding Partner of Global Immigration Legal Team, LLC, bringing his extensive immigration legal experience from his immigration legal practice, Law Offices of David E. Piver, to his current role in expanding the firm. Since 1994, David has assisted companies and individuals in accomplishing a wide range of business and personal immigration-related objectives.

His practice focuses on advising corporate and individual clients on all aspects of U.S. immigration law and policy. He assists clients in developing strategies and securing approvals of the following case types: H-1B, L-1, L-1B, E-1, E-2, O-1, PERM, EB-1, 2 and 3, and TN. David works primarily with IT Consulting, technology, manufacturing, finance, and entertainment industries.

David has extensive experience obtaining labor certification approval from the U.S. Department of Labor and approving permanent residency (“Green Card”) petitions filed with the U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Service. In addition, he and his team assist corporations with inter-company transfers of executives, managers, and other essential personnel (L-1A/L-1B Visas).

He has assisted numerous students (F-1 Visa), researchers and foreign medical graduates (J-1 Visa) obtain visas, employment authorization, change status, and transition into employment status. In addition, he has assisted nonprofit organizations in resolving visa problems for religious workers and other nonprofit employees (R-1 Visa). David has also worked with scientists, artists, scholars, and other individuals of extraordinary ability to obtain permanent residency in the U.S. to pursue their unique talents without a job offer.

David assists families obtain visas for spouses, parents, siblings, and others. In addition, he is nationally renown as a creative problem solver and strategist for successfully helping individuals resolve the most complex immigration legal matters.

  • American Immigration Lawyers Association; Pennsylvania Bar Association. When he isn’t at the office, David enjoys serving on Non Profit Boards, writing, biking, and hiking.
